Cristian Garcia Tepixtle, 30, Remembered After Early Morning Durham Road Crash On August 29, 2026
Cristian Garcia Tepixtle, 30, died just after 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, after a 2018 Ford Edge left Umstead Road near Riverdale Drive in Durham, North Carolina.
Cristian was traveling eastbound near the Eno River when the SUV left the roadway, went up a raised driveway, became airborne, struck a tree, and then hit a telephone pole.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene, and medics pronounced Cristian dead before transport could take place.
Two passengers also rode in the SUV, and rescue crews took both to a nearby emergency department, where one remained in critical condition and the other received care for serious injuries.
Cristian’s family, friends, and Durham community now remember a 30-year-old life connected to daily routines, relationships, and meaningful moments with loved ones.
