Andrea Pohl Parkin, 55, and Bryson Duran Brown, 36, lost their lives after a serious crash early Saturday, August 29, 2026, in north Charlotte.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers responded at about 6:10 a.m. to the 4800 block of Hucks Road after a report of a serious personal injury collision.
Officers found a heavily damaged 2013 Dodge Caravan overturned at the scene, with Parkin identified as the driver and Brown as the passenger.
MEDIC crews pronounced both deceased at the scene after the vehicle traveled north on Hucks Road, left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned.
Authorities said speed and impairment may have contributed as investigators continued reviewing the circumstances.
