Vincente Alan Adenau, 43, Remembered After Saturday Afternoon Highway 181 Motorcycle Crash In Burke County, North Carolina
Vincente Alan Adenau, a 43-year-old Granite Falls resident, died Saturday afternoon after a motorcycle crash on Highway 181 in Burke County, North Carolina.
The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. just north of mile marker 22, near Jonas Ridge and Upper Creek Falls.
Officials reported that Adenau rode a 2018 Yamaha southbound when it crossed left of the center line and collided with a northbound 2018 Subaru passenger car.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, but Adenau died at the site.
The 32-year-old Subaru driver from Maiden was not injured, while responders closed the roadway for hours as troopers reviewed the scene and cleared the vehicles.
Friends and neighbors in Granite Falls remembered Adenau for a bright smile, a helpful spirit, and a love for riding through the North Carolina mountains.
