Norma Eckard Remembered After Fatal August 27 Road Incident Near Laurel In Sussex County
Norma Eckard, a 54-year-old Delmar resident, died on Thursday, August 27, at about 5:00 p.m. near the intersection of Old Stage Road and Salt Barn Road in Sussex County.
Authorities said Norma Eckard was driving a Kia Sportage when a westbound Nissan Frontier failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with the driver’s side of the SUV.
Delaware State Police Troop 7 continues to review the circumstances, and both roads remained closed for about four hours while investigators documented the scene.
