Landen J. Englund and Princeton J. Welty Remembered After Late-Night Single-Vehicle Crash In Marinette County
Landen J. Englund, 16, of Menominee, Michigan, and Princeton J. Welty, 17, of Crivitz, Wisconsin, lost their lives in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday, August 29, 2026.
Marinette County Dispatch received an iPhone crash notification at approximately 10:55 p.m. for County Highway G in the Town of Lake.
Authorities said the vehicle traveled south near Loomis Road, missed a curve, entered a ditch, and struck a tree.
Landen drove the vehicle, while Princeton sat in the front passenger seat.
Two other passengers sustained serious harm, including one who was ejected, and both received medical treatment.
Authorities said speed appears to have been a factor, and the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office continue to investigate.
Their families, friends, and communities now mourn two young lives remembered with care and respect.
