Julia Christie, 23, passed away on August 29, 2026, after a two-vehicle crash in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.
The crash happened at about 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 150 and Lawrence Banet Road.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office reported that Julia Christie drove a black 2008 Honda Accord while turning left from southbound U.S. 150 onto Lawrence Banet Road when a blue 2013 Ford Focus traveling north on U.S. 150 struck the vehicle.
Deputies and emergency personnel responded, and Julia Christie was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team continues to review the circumstances, and authorities said formal charges are expected in connection with the incident.
